Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Suspended Over GQ Magazine Comment

The A&E reality show producers have been trying several seasons to put words in the mouths of Duck Dynasty stars by bleeping comments making it appear that the family is cursing on the show.
Apparently, Phil Robertson made a statement today that doesn’t follow society’s political correctness or A&E’s views and the producers suspended him from the show indefinitely. They undoubtedly are worried about a backlash from the LGBT community and their sponsors.

Those that follow the show knew the Robertson families are devout Christians and should only expect a Christian’s opinion in response. His view does not reflect the producer’s opinion and that is all they needed to say in their statement. Catering to the LGBT community opinions only may have some serious drawbacks as the majority of Americans speaking out are in favor of Phil Robertson remaining on the show and most are boycotting A&E until he returns to the show.
GQ asked Robertson what he considered to be sinful, Robertson answer honestly and in Phil style, “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there – bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”
Phil and his family are Christians, but GLAAD can’t handle a Christian opinion and the spokesman Wilson Cruz claims that Robertson knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans or Americans for that fact. He insists that the majority of people support legal gay and lesbian relationships. Cruz also accuses Robertson of vile and extreme stereotyping and insists that A&E and his sponsors need to examine their ties to someone with a Christian opinion.
Perhaps the sponsors will soon find out whether to allow freedom of speech for their top cash cow before it goes belly up over the suspension of Phil Robertson. The show is the 2nd top-rated show with 8.4 billions viewers.
